Venue for our 2-day Open Presentation Masterclass

Some people choose to fit learning around everything else. And some people make the biggest transformations when they immerse themselves in the subject they are learning and choose to ‘go on retreat’ to learn.  Taking time out of their ‘life’ to focus on the subject in a completely different environment.
Whichever you choose, you’ll find some more details of our venue on this page.
Our venue is Windrush, a quiet village in the Cotswolds (an area of outstanding natural beauty). There’s something quite magical about the peaceful surroundings. Sounds sleepy – you’d be surprised – and there’s whistling fast Wifi. Windrush is off the A40 – the main route between Oxford and Cheltenham so easy to drive to.
Below you’ll find some pictures of Windrush, Sherborne – the National Trust village made famous in Springwatch, and links to Airbnb, and a hotel booking site.

Our Retreat – Windrush Village

Our Venue – the Village Hall, Windrush OX18 4TS

This former village school, is now village hall.
Popular and much used by the villagers for table tennis, film nights, clubs as well as for functions and training.  A real gem.

In Windrush itself – Josephine Neill runs an art studio and B&B she can be contacted on on 01451844425 – Tell her you’re coming on the Masterclass If she’s got a room, she’ll take really good care of you.
Here are a couple of links to sites to find and book accommodation, but there are plenty more on Google – or perhaps you have your own favourite.

The Village Shop and Tea Room at Sherborne – our destination for lunch.
This beautiful National Trust village was made famous by the BBC in Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch 2017 – 2018.
The Village Shop and Tea Room’s fishfinger sandwiches are legendary (at least locally) But they have a wide selection and vegetarian and gluten free choices too.

Getting here:

Windrush is off the A40 – the main route between Oxford and Cheltenham easy access by car.  There’s a carpark outside the Venue and plenty of on-road parking in the village. OX18 4TS will get your SatNav there.
If you choose to travel by train, Charlbury is the closest station from London Paddington.  You will need to book a local taxi in advance – the journey from the station is approximately 30 minutes.
We haven’t used a taxi ourselves so can’t say from personal experience, but here are a couple of numbers.
Pete’s taxis 07854 179673 – the one most locals recommend
Charlbury Taxis 07855 806102
